Have a taste of North Indian Food in Singapore!

Good Monday my fellow foodies,

I know you might be having your Monday Blues but instead of brooding about it, you can make your day better by indulging in delicious FOOD! At least it worked for me, hehe. 

As I wanted to be more adventurous than usual, I went to Little India for my food hunt today. I was walking aimlessly when I discovered a restaurant named 'Khansama'. What appealed to me most was their slogan - "Probably The Best North Indian Restaurant in Singapore." I decided I was going to dine there to find out if they live up to their words!

Here are some of the dishes that I tried:

Mixed Seekh Kebabs (Chicken & Mutton) - $14.00

If you are a meat lover, then I suggest you order this dish! I really liked the chicken kebab as it was mixed with various spices. However, I found that the taste of the mutton was too strong for my liking. Remember to dip it with the cilantro chutney sauce!

Tandoori Chicken - $12.00

*Hands down* This was one of the best tandoori chicken that I have ever tasted and I'm not joking! The chicken was marinated so well that when I bite into the flesh, it was soooo juicy and tender. WARNING: It may be a little spicy to you!

Plain Naan - $2.50/per piece

Forget about instant naan because the handmade ones are the BEST! When the naan was served to me, it was piping hot and it smell really gooooood. It was super soft that I had no trouble tearing it apart, let alone chewing it.

Fish Curry - $9.50

Out of all the dishes, the fish curry was my favourite! Even though it was spicy, it left me wanting for more. The thickness of the gravy was just nice and the spices weren't too overwhelming for my taste buds. It was simply... amazing. If you dislike fish, there's mutton and chicken curry too!

My verdict:

Khansama is definitely probably the best North Indian restaurant in Singapore. As compared to other North Indian restaurants, the prices may be a little pricey but trust me, it is worth your every penny. You definitely have to try it! Don't give me excuses such as it's too far to travel as they provide delivery to your homes too!
